Our President: Dr. Rickard Brånemark

Rickard Brånemark is a native of Gothenburg. He graduated from Gothenburg University Medical School and the Master program in Technical Physics at Chalmers University of Technology. His PhD thesis was on biomechanics of osseointegration.

He has since 1999 been Director of the Centre of Orthopaedic Osseointegration at the Department of Orthopaedics, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden. He is the co-founder and CEO of Integrum and Brånemark Integration, medical device companies developing osseointegrated implants in orthopaedics and dentistry.

Dr Branemark resides in the Gothenburg area with his 4 children and his wife Anna-Tove, certified nurse anesthetist and surgical nurse.
